Pulp Fiction

http://www.dovesandserpents.org/wp/2010/10/quentin-tarantino-pulp-fiction/

I Like movies. I thought about doing a top 10 list, but I find it impossible to put the movies I like in that order. So I decided to do several list of 10 movies that I have enjoyed over the years. This is the first of those list.

I consider myself a ‘blank slate’ movie viewer. I make every attempt to go in neutral. I ignore the hype and I don’t read reviews before a movie, but I do read them after I have seen the movie. The only thing I do before a movie is watch the trailers. I like movie trailers. I find it interested that trailers sometimes have footage you don’t see in the movie. And some trailers contain the only good scenes in a movie.

Also I’m not doing any movie reviews just list; although I may make a comment. You can check out IMDB.com for reviews and opinions.

Here are some movie poster images for the listed movies. All the images are the stock images used on Amazon.com. The posters are all for sale on Amazon if you are interested.
Movie Posters

  • Seven Samurai - This is probably my favorite movie of all time. First saw on the not so big screen of the Circle Theater Washington DC. The Circle was torn down in the early 1980′s. Later I purchased the DVD.
  • Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan - I wonder if Khan’s chair was wrapped in Corinthian Leather :-) Saw in a theater, I don’t remember which one and have the DVD
  • Pulp Fiction - did not see this one first run. I have the DVD. Great characters in this one.
  • Repo Man - What a gem this one is. Did not see this one first run only on DVD.
  • Superfly (1972) – In my opinion the best of the black exploitation films. I know I saw the theatrical release, but I don’t remember where I saw this one.  I don’t currently have this one on DVD, but I’ll get the urge to see it again at some point in time :-)

Well that’s the first list. There will be another one next month. This post should be available for comments for a short period, but please feel free to comment on any social media listed in the right column under My Other Sites.
